Taking Your Health For Granted
... grrrrr... SO! .. as I was doing a routine visit to Hamilton, ON I decided that it would be a great day to experience vertigo.
As I was accelerating down the mountain (hwy 6 south) doing 80km (the speedlimit) in my car.. an air pocket got caught behind my sinuses and caused me to feel like I hit a brick wall. As soon as I moved my head a bit, the whole world seemed like it was spinning. So, I concentrated as best as I could on getting to where I was going, hoping this was just a little attack and it would clear up.
As I continued on with my day, things were getting worse to the point where I had to be picked up off the floor. That was my worst point. After a few minutes, the worst part subsided and I was able to at least drive my a$$ home. Upon returning home, I could not move an inch without feeling like I was on a rollercoaster. (and trust me, if you know me, I HATE rollercoasters)
Today, I saw my doctor, it is vertigo and it will go away on its own.. MAYBE before I have to ride to Dover on saturday but no guarantees, and MAYBE before I have to drive to Manitouwadge on Monday, but again, no guarantees. So, I have been ginger root-ing my body with teas, and capsules and drinking tons of water.
No matter how healthy you think you are.. ANYTHING can hit you .. at any time. Enjoy life, NOW!
Cheers!!!
